The main theme park in Brazil, Beto Carrero World, is close to confirming another important step in its expansion. GJP president Guilherme Paulus confirmed to M & E that he is negotiating with the park to build a hotel in the complex and that the latest details are being set for the contract to be signed.

“We are in final negotiations with Beto Carrero and construction should start this year,” said Paulus. According to the businessman, the development will be inside the complex of the park, located in Penha, in the state of Santa Catarina. “This project is old. I was very friendly with Beto and we always talk about it. We have been negotiating for a long time, “he added.

According to Paulus, the first stage of the project provides 160 apartments. But even before the start of construction, there are plans to expand, with 500 more accommodations in a second. He further confirmed that the venture will be a resort with the target audience of families.

GJP Hotels & Resorts has 20 hotels in operation in 11 Brazilian states, with more than 3,000 apartments. The network works with four flags: Wish (5 stars), Prodigy (4 stars) and Linx (budget hotels) and has more than 1.8 thousand employees. Beto Carrero World was recently voted the seventh best theme park in the world, according to a survey done annually by TripAdvisor.
