General Tourism Law will be approved in December

Chief reporter in the House for the changes in the General Law of Tourism, opening of capital for foreign airlines, implementation of the electronic visa and the transformation of Embratur into an agency, Federal Deputy Paulo Azi was present at WTM London.
According to the politician, the government began to understand the importance of the sector to the Brazilian economy. He says projects are expected to be approved by early December. “Electronic visas have already been approved and start operating on November 17, with Australia. Then, in January, the action will cover Canada, the United States and Japan, “he explained.
Among the projects that may be causing some hindrance, Azi cited the opening of foreign capital and the rollout of resort casinos in the country. He cited the good relationship with Mayor Rodrigo Maia as a positive factor and a differential for the good progress of the proposals.
The deputy still made an appeal to the trade, asking for greater participation not only of public companies but also private companies with the chamber. “The whole chair needs to be in weight by charging the authorities, making requests and petitions,” he concluded.
