Located on the edge of the Andes, Bariloche offers several breathtaking landscapes. One of the options to enjoy all that the nature of the city has to offer is the Trekking – a walk in the hills and mountains. The options are diverse which can be adapted for all ages and levels of practice in the sport. If the chosen route is in the region of the National Park Nahuel Huapi, it is necessary to make a previous registration. Check below which route is right for you.
EASY LEVEL: indicated for those who do not have much experience, children and elderly people.
– Cerrito Llao Llao and Villa Tocul: the whole route lasts approximately 1h20. It is possible to stop at the Llao Llao lookout and admire the beautiful view it offers. Arriving at Villa Tocul, it is possible to relax and rest on the beach, and still do diving. The path has some descents that can be a hindrance for those with reduced mobility.
– Lopez Bay: this path lasts approximately 1h30. On the way you can see Baia López, Brazo tristeza and the east side of Mount Capilla. The nature of the path is to impress, and the waters are clear and clear.
– Escondido Lake: the starting point of this trail is the esplanade in front of the ranger’s house. From it to the lake the walk is only 20 minutes, by natural tunnels and a lot of beauty. Upon arriving at the lake you can enjoy the pleasant temperature of the water and the beauty of the landscape, as the lake is surrounded by hills and forests.
DIFFICULT LEVEL: for those who already have more experience in the activity and a good physical conditioning.
– Crossing the Four Hostels: this path is long. It lasts up to 5 days, walking an average of 4 to 9 hours a day. The path joins the hostels Frey, Jakob, Laguna Negra and Lopez. Adventurers stay overnight at the hostels, which offer dinner and breakfast.
– Monte Tronador / Pico Argentino: Mount Tronador is the highest in the Bariloche region, with 3,554 meters. It sits on the border between Argentina and Chile and is great for mountaineering. On its summit there is snow all year round, and it is possible to have a beautiful view of the region.
