Low season is synonymous with discounts for the cariocas

The 16th edition of the Carioquinha Project has returned and, from August 18 to October 31, all the children and residents of Rio and Rio Grande * will have discounts on participating tourist attractions, hotels and restaurants.

With the theme “Carioquinha 2017: Você Merece Essa Moral”, the project designed by the journalist Martha Mendes brings several opportunities for the Cariocas to explore the Marvelous City. The objective of the Carioquinha is to encourage the internal tourist flow in a period of low season, to unveil new itineraries and to transform the carioca in an agent divulging of the potentialities of Rio, according to the official page of the initiative.

Classical attractions, such as the Corcovado Train, share a scene with Samba City experience tours, helicopter flights and other activities included in the new edition.

Discounts vary from 20% to gratuitous. The resident must present the identity card or proof of residence (water, electricity, telephone, gas, credit card) at the participating ticket offices in order to receive the benefits.

The complete list of attractions and the rules of operation of the promotion are available at www.carioquinha.com.br.
