Peru was awarded as Best International Gastronomic Destination in the 6th Edition of the Tourism Awards organized by the Spanish newspaper La Razón.

The ceremony was held on July 3 and was attended by the main representatives of the Spanish tourism industry. The prize was received by the Economic Counselor of the Peruvian Commercial Office in Madrid, Bernardo Muñoz.

According to Promperú’s Communications and Country Image director, Isabella Falco, Peruvian cuisine is one of the most internationally recognized by the efforts of producers and farmers and women who pass the revenues generation after generation. “Nor can we forget all our chefs, our main ambassadors.
