One of the most traditional meeting places for couples in São Paulo, Motel Swing is about to inaugurate one of the capital’s most modern and luxurious suites. Dubbed the Moulin Rougue, the space will have red pool, orgy bed, classic furniture, set design and special lighting. The amount to stay during the opening period will be from R $ 499.00.
With the reservation system, the motel hopes, in addition to the luxurious experience, to provide guests with convenience. “The Swing motel is already quite traditional and a reference in the moteleiro sector for the modern facilities, specialized attention, gastronomy and high quality drinks menu. The Moulin Rouge suite, of course, will be part of the list of the most glamorous points in São Paulo, “says Felipe Rua, director of the motel.
The idea of the suite came in the contest Suite of Dreams, an action developed with the support of the Guide to Motels, which received almost 1000 ideas from all over Brazil. The dream of Ana Paula de Oliveira, from São Paulo, won the commission formed by the partners of Motel Swing. Ideas for events range from birthday parties, bachelor party, divorce commemoration and everything else imaginable.
The inspiration turned into an engineering project for a red, translucent, heated, tank-shaped pool with panoramic views of the Stately Bridge through a window.
The idea was to provide a luxury experience for couples who want to live a special moment, romantic and very sensual. Everything starts in the garage, where they are greeted by a replica of the famous red mill of Paris, which works. The entrance was inspired by the famous portals of the Paris subway, great exponents of the art nouveau aesthetic.
The king-size bed railings, selected and restored in an iron art demolition, were inspired by the “Elephant Medley” of the film starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The spicy area of the suite also features a golden dance pole, smoke machine and ballad lighting.
The lighting technician designed to appreciate the details creates a show atmosphere. It uses reflectors, colored LEDs and neon, always valuing motel DNA.
The moteleiro market in Brazil
With the escalating prices of restaurants, bars, movies, among others, making a complete program at the motel amounts to a savings of about 50%. This is because in these establishments, guests can dine on a refined dish prepared by a chef, with the 24-hour kitchen service, have a high quality drinks menu, enjoy private tranquility, relax in a heated pool, hydro, hot tub and sauna, all within the suite, without getting into your car and paying a valet at every step.
Currently, according to ABMOTÉIS (Brazilian Association of Motels), Brazil has approximately 5,000 motels that handle R $ 3.5 billion per year. In São Paulo alone there are 300 motels and 1,200 establishments in the state. The outlook for 2016 was to grow by 20% in revenues, but by the current crisis scenario the entity observed that, on average, motels had a 10% to 15% decrease and a cost increase of around 20%, mainly with energy power. Due to the economic situation, politics and reforms that are to come, the segment expects growth of 5% to 2017.
