Rising destinations for Brazilians

Booking.com evaluated the destinations that had the greatest growth of reserves among Brazilian users of the platform in 2017 compared to the previous year. After all, 72% of Brazilian travelers intend to travel more in 2018 than last year and more than half the country’s travelers (55%) want to visit as many destinations as possible this year, according to a survey conducted by the company with 19,000 people of 26 countries.

Among the destinations that experienced the greatest increase in reservations among Brazilians last year are the city of San Francisco in the United States, followed by Machu Picchu in Peru and San Pedro de Atacama in Chile representing Latin America. Johannesburg and Cape Town, both in South Africa, close the list. Altogether, on the website of Booking.com, the five destinations added together accumulate more than 3,400 registered accommodations.

On the other hand, among the destinations that had the largest booking increase last year among users of Booking.com from around the world, in alphabetical order, are:

3. Bucharest, Romania
4. Hannover, Germany
5. Lima, Peru
6. Nashville, United States
7. Portland, United States
8. Sapporo, Japan
9. Taitung City, Taiwan
10. Zakopane, Poland
