American airline launches new passenger baggage alerts to save time

American Airlines has just launched a Customer Baggage Notification service, also known as CBN. The tool informs passengers the status of checked baggage. There are three types of alerts issued:
Early Baggage Arrival: This message alerts passengers about the anticipated arrival of luggage and advises how to pick them up at the Baggage Service Office (BSO, luggage rack).
Late Baggage Arrival – Go to the Baggage Service Office: This message asks passengers, such as those with international passages, to contact a BSO agent.

Late Baggage Arrival – Mobile Baggage Order (MBO): This message recommends that passengers fill out an MBO on their mobile phone. Automated MBO requests customer delivery information and the briefcase description to help speed things up without having to go to the MBO.
To receive alerts, customers must download the American Airlines application, register an AAdvantage® account, or provide contact information during booking or check-in.
