Airline completes modernization of boeing booths 777-200

American Airlines has completed the Boeing 777-200 retrofit process, which currently operates routes from São Paulo / Guarulhos (GRU) to Miami and Los Angeles and from Rio de Janeiro / Galeão (GIG) to Miami and New York. As a result, all company flights between these cities now have state-of-the-art modernized and configured aircraft with two classes: Business Class and Economy – which has an area with Main Cabin Extra seats that offer more legroom.

The aircraft are configured with 252 seats in economy class and 37 in Business, except the model that operates on the Rio-New York route, which has 215 seats in the economy and 45 seats in the executive. American also operates a third frequency on the São Paulo-Miami route with the Boeing 777-300ER model, one of the most modern in its fleet.

The retrofit is part of a global investment of more than $ 3 billion of the company’s airports and cabins of the most modern fleet in the industry. The enhancements provide a more enjoyable and connected travel experience throughout the cabin, with Wi-Fi access, USB inputs and universal AC outlets in the seats.

For onboard entertainment, passengers have individual touchscreen monitors with about 250 movies, 180 TV shows and more than 350 audio selections. The aircraft also offers a Sky Interior lighting system, which simulates the color of the sky, giving a sense of amplitude.

At Business Class, passengers can take advantage of the exclusive design of the Business Suite seats, with individual work area for an onboard experience with more privacy. In addition, guests have free access to a bar, entitled to a selection of snacks and drinks. The 1,95m bed seats are fully reclining and all give access to the hallway to facilitate movement in the cabin.
