Azul released its previous air traffic results in August. According to the survey, passenger traffic (RPKs) increased by 15.5% over August 2016, compared to a 13.1% increase in capacity (ASKs). As a result, the occupancy rate was 81.6%, an increase of 1.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

Year-to-date, the occupancy rate increased by 2.4 percentage points over the previous year, totaling 81.7%. In the domestic market, the occupancy rate was 79.8% and in the international market it was 90.3%.

By analyzing only domestic flights, passenger traffic increased by 6.2% and capacity by 4.1%. International growth was 60.6% and 64.3%, respectively.
