Airline to modernize fleet with 33 new aircraft

Egypt Air plans to add 33 new aircraft, including different models, as part of the modernization of its fleet. Air currently evaluates various offers from leading manufacturers and lessors.

According to the Egyptian airline’s CEO, Safwat Musallam, the take includes small, medium and large aircraft, according to a statement announced last Friday (28). On that same day, the airline received the nine B737-800 ordered last year, also part of the renewal strategy.

Egypt Air Boeing is configured with 16 executive and 138 economy seats. The company also decided to increase the space between seats to about 114 centimeters in the first and 81 centimeters in the economy.
