Avianca Brasil will fly from São Paulo (GRU) to New York (JFK) from December. The announcement has just been made by President Frederico Pedreira and comes to add to the “fresh off” flight to Miami in the United States, and the one in Santiago, Chile, with “close shipment”, scheduled for August and already on sale . Service to the Big Apple will be nightly and performed every day. The timetable, by the way, is considered “premium” by the company. Tickets will be available from August on the Avianca Brasil sales channels, on a date to be announced shortly by the company, along with specific details regarding flight schedules.

Pedreira said that the choice for New York was due to the success that the company has registered with the route to Miami. In addition, the connection between the two cities also carries relevance to the corporate public – and in this sense, the nighttime schedule appears as a way to raise the airline’s competitiveness in the new operation.

Operating the route with daily and night flights, therefore, demonstrates a specific objective of the company: “if we are going to carry out a route, we must carry it out well”, stressed the president of Avianca. According to him, the company’s next steps should be related to the stabilization and consolidation of the airline’s international presence, only to plan the expansion to new destinations.
