Mangaratiba, on the Rio Verde Fluminense, will host another edition of the Portobello Open Beach Tennis, one of the most important events of the category in the state of Rio de Janeiro and that integrates the calendar of events of Portobello Resort & Safari. The tournament will be held this weekend between 27 and 29 October.
With 12 blocks structured in the sands of the venture, the Portobello Open will count with the participation of 120 athletes that will be divided between the categories A, B and C (male and female) and mixed.
“The event has already become a benchmark for beach tennis practitioners. We are already in the third edition of the Portobello Open, which shows the importance of the resort among the players and proves that we have the infrastructure and perfect environment for practice and the realization of sporting championships, “commented Ricardo Peixoto, Manager Comercial & Marketing.
In addition to the games, the participants will have a welcome cocktail and technical congress, on Friday, which will cover topics on physical preparation, techniques, photo analysis and animated test. On the same night there will be theme dinner and musical presentation.
Already on Saturday morning, the group stage of the tournament takes place, without elimination. In the afternoon the qualifying stages and the competition finals begin. The evening will feature a show by Rodrigo Santos, bass player of Barão Vermelho, who will pack in style the competitors and participants of the event.
The surprise double-double tournament and trophy presentation will be held on Sunday, followed by lunch for all participants, concluding yet another important edition of Portobello Open Beach Tennis.
